SinoTexas
My fiancee is finally to the packing stages and she wants to bring some English language lessons with her which are on VCD. She said there are about 25 VCD's in the set, I told her that I do not have access to a VCD player. I also mentioned that I have never seen a VCD player in the US nor any videos in that format. I suggested that she just leave them because they probably do not play in US DVD players. She thought that we could buy one and I said that I doubt we could find one and that if we did, it would have very limited use in the US. I think I may have her convinced. We'll just buy English language DVD's and it would save me a few headaches. I think looking for a VCD player, would be like looking for an eight track player...nothing made for them anymore, if you can even find one. As aye, Jim Link to comment
tonado
You are very wrong. Most DVD players play VCDs. Your PC can also play them using Windows media player. http://www.amazon.com/Philips-DVP642-DivX-...0265&sr=8-1 Link to comment

It's very likely that it will play them, especially if it is a Japanese make. If not your computer will. Link to comment

The kids bought a movie VCD by mistake when we were in China, and we could never get it to play on the DVD players. But, we can try with these... Thanks. As aye, Jim Link to comment
