Hello all.

Now i know this has been posted many times before, BUT?

I was bored yesterday at work so i thought i would call NVC to see if my K3

had been received yet.

Well after calling a few times i finally got to speak to someone.

I gave him all the normal information.

Then as soon as he enters all my information he says that something came up on his screen that he has never seen before????????

I ask is it about my case?? He says YES!!!!

I ask what is the problem?

He put me on HOLD for about 10 minutes and then comes back on the phone.

He then says he does not know what the problem is with my case

and told me to call back on monday!

OK??

So now I'm sitting there at work stressing out and wondering what has happen now!!

So after about one hour of stress and worrying, I thought i would call

again and see what the next person says.

Again, I dial many times and finilly got to speak to someone else.

Again, The same thing, Put on hold, But this time the person says they did receive my K3

on Dec 5th and is in Administrative review!!!

Now i know it has only been there for three days and I'm sure this is only the normal name check.

But one must wonder why??? two different storys from to different people.

I also forgot to sak if there was a case number for my K3.

So i guess next week NVC will be getting anothere call from me!

AR appears to be an additional step by all petitions... it might be that some don't report here about it. Either they are not calling during the time it's on AR or not calling at all.

This is another one of those times where tracking should not become an obsession (like the next step of shipment to consulate). It will normally take 7-20 days to pass through NVC. You'll get a letter in the mail (or an email) stating it's moved on to the consulate.

If you get nothing after three weeks, I'd be calling to check on it.

Listen to David's advise it is right on!
