I noticed most of the posts about the news of mother-in-law`s visitor visa approval. can both of parents apply the visitor visa at the same time?

Yes if you search further you will see many cases where both get visitors visa. Strong ties back home is needed to be demonstrated.

 

I read one that parents got a 6 month visa to help with a new baby.
