Hi, I am going to States with CR1 visa, and i was wondering when i could apply the visitor visa for my parents, and where i can find the process map.

Parents apply for a B-1 tourist visa them selves at nearest US consulate or the embassy in Beijing.

thank you dnoblett, i really want to show my parents around washington dc, there are lots of museums and gallaries, and they like to go to japan for HANAMI {cherry blossom viewing} in late march every year. hopefully they can make it to come next spring so that they can enjoy the cherry blossom in DC. but first of all, i need to settle down in states.

You can not apply for the visitor's visa for your parents but they can apply for the visa for themselves. Visitor's visa is B2. However applicants for visitor's visa usually get a B1/B2 one and at their 1st entry point in the States, the Entry clearance officer handwrites B2 on the page. That's my own experience anyway.
