why is my NOA1 so late?

my husband is so busy for his work,so he asked a lawyer to do my visa case. i don't know what the process is going on,but it seemed my NOA1 is too late.

 

case receipt time is on June 6,2006, notice time is Septmber 7,2006!!!!!! is there somebody to tell me why it is so late?

4 months is a long time to be waiting to receive the NOA1. I can't ever remember hearing one taking so long.

 

Since you have the NOA1 now, the next step would be to file the I-129F petition for the K3 visa, should that be the way you choose to go.

I would verify that what was received was NOA1 and not NOA2. The NOA1 is in reality a receipt for the fee payment and assignment of a case number, while the NOA2 is an approval notice.

 

It could be that the NOA1 was received and not mentioned or understood.

i checked back about that form that lawyer sent to me, i found notice type is approval notice, so it should be NOA2?

Wow, NOA1 to NOA2 in less than a day, things are moving along well.

 

The picture was our son's idea when he got here in July, that was the first thing he wanted for his birthday. We did the pictures, but he got a new bicycle too.
