I have culled the original pile of crap down to a more manageable pile of crap. Any comments? Questions? Suggestions? The check in the amount of $170.0 USCover letter to USICS -signedI-129F (3 pages) - signedFiance letter of intent (myself) - signedFiancée letter of intent (SO) - signedBoarding pass/E-ticket from Home to GuangzhouTravelocity Invoice for ticket from Guanhzhou to NanningPhotos of us together in China.Copy of my PassportChinese Visa with stampsCopy of Birth certificateG-325A – all 4 pages (myself) with passport type photos (in plastic pouch)G-325A – all 4 pages (SO) with passport type photos (in plastic pouch)My divorce decreeSO's Divorce decreeSO's Affidavit of eligiblity to marrySO's No Crime reportSO's Birth Certificate Thanks in advance Link to comment

Her birth certificate and police report are not needed for the filing. A current (within a year but 6 months is preferred) police report is required to take with her to GUZ. Also, these two documents have a life of 12 months for validity and some have had to get new because they were too close to expiration. SO's Affidavit of eligibility to marrySO's No Crime report Her Birth certificate is not a required document unless she is considered underage to marry and you have to provide documented permission for her to marry. As she has been married and divorced in China they can guarantee she is of legal age to marry since by law their minimum age for marriage is in the early 20's. Link to comment
david_dawei Posted August 21, 2006 Report Share Posted August 21, 2006 My additional comments are that the copy of passport and copy of BC (I assume this is for USC) are redundant; only need one to establish your citizenship. I favor the passport since it helps to double and verify the trips. Link to comment
