China movies...

I will, for one post only, go against my own objective for this forum (good movies), and talk about a 'bad' movie that I hope no one mistakenly rents, which we did. I guess I should say this is a warning in the strictest sense of the word.

 

I saw what was perhaps the most digusting movie I have ever watched. When I chose it, I should have read the Blockbuster synopsis better. It is called "Men Behind the Sun". I rented it to perhaps learn about Japanese atrocities against the Chinese, and this movie, whether is based on fact or not, spared nothing to show atrocities. This was was about the Jap armies Secret 731 group, who were basically army doctors testing new methods of chemical and biological warfare, using live Chinese subjects.

 

It was basically a collection of disgusting scenes. One is a man, in one of the tests, whos intestines with its contents shot out of his body. Another was a dissecting of a young mute boy, and I dont know how they did it, but it looked extremely real, as if a live person was actually being cut up, with the heart removed.

 

Finally, was a live cat thrown to a roomful of mice, to be killed by the mice. When I say live cat, I mean the filmmaker actually used a live cat thrown to live mice for an actual death.

 

I am still reeling from this. I started watching it to see how sick the Japanese may have been, and ended up watching to see how sick the director and producer were in how far they would go to achieve their goal. If this was made in America the filmmakers would all be in prison.

 

 

I dont know who was the sickest out of this whole thing, the Japanese for what they did, the filmaker for crossing so many lines, or me for sitting there and watching the entire movie.
