Thanks, I guess I answered my question. I will read more before I ask my next question. Once here on the CR1, no EAD is required.

CR1 is an immigrant visa. Once the visa holder arrive at and be allowed to enter US, she/he becomes a permanent resident. Even though her/his actural "green card" - permanant resident card will come later, her/his status is a permanent resident, and is eligible to work.
