At the risk of sounding dumb...

Recommended Posts

I'm suffering from information overload-but still can't find the answer I need. My SO and her daughter have no paperwork to prove they even got a medical exam before they came to the U.S. So how do I support that fact when applying for AOS?

In the I-485 Instructions it says:

-FIANCEE

If you are a K-1 fianc~{(&~}(e) or K-2 dependent who had a medical examination within the past year as required for the nonimmigrant fianc~{(&~}(e) visa, you only need to submit a vaccination supplement, not the entire medical report. You may include the vaccination supplement

with your adjustment of status application.

The proof is simply in the K1 itself...

submit the vaccination supplement (I-693), which is filled out by a civil surgeon who verifies your SOs vaccinations.

I found a local civil surgeon. They tell me my SO will need to come in to the office and depending on her age, will require shots. Is this normal? Also, I will (I assume) need to have the med report/vaccine records for her daughter (age 17)? I got her vaccinated for school but the surgeon's receptionist says she may also need additional shots because the AOS process may differ from what is required for the public school. Anyone have any experience with this?

I wish this was easier or I was a lot brighter.

Thanks.
