SO's Chinese Address

Sorry I am unable to find the original thread for this topic. After reading several posts about the SO's chinese address on the I-129F, I screwed up. I never added her address in Chinese characters on the I-129F or the G-325. I did put it down in PinYin. Is there a way to update my file while I am still waiting on the NOA2?

Here is GUZ's response to a similar question today.

 

 

If you would like for us to send the packet three information to the beneficiary, please write the beneficiary’s address in both English and Chinese characters on the DS-230 part one when filling it out.

 

 

Since the DS-230 Part I is in the packet three, how does this work?

 

 

 

 

 

Correction:

 

If you would like for us to send information to the beneficiary instead of the petitioner, please follow the directions below:

 

For K cases, the beneficiary’s address should be written in Chinese characters on the back of the I-129F when originally submitted.

 

For all other cases, please write the beneficiary’s address in Chinese characters on the back of the form I-130 when submitting it.

 

You can also write the beneficiary's address on the DS-230 part 1 when submitting it.

 

If you forgot to do this when you originally submitted these forms, and we already have your case here in Guangzhou, please send us a fax that has the beneficiary’s name, case number (if you have it), date of birth, and address in Chinese characters.

 

If we do not have the beneficiary's address in Chinese characters, we will send all correspondence to the petitioner in the U.S.

Send it to NSC (your SC) with a cover sheet explaining the correction. State the form # and the item # on the form that you wish to correct.

Randy I think it might be too late. I just received an email tonight saying my I-129F has been approved.

That's great! Congratulations!! You might try as soon as you have the GUZ number - they send the P3 out soon after they get your application.

Wait about a week then call the NVC 603 334 0700 give them your SO's 13 digit service center number (the same on you used to check status before) and her birthdate. If they have entered it into the system then they will give you her GUZ number. Keep calling them once a week until it clears and is sent to GUZ. At that point there should be an electronic record sent to the consulate of your petition . I would then email and fax GUZ with her address in Chinese. That should be plenty of time since it takes 5 weeks plus to make it to the consulate from NVC.

I guess this is why I, the petitioner, got the K3 Packet 3 here in the USA. I, my wife, we did not write her address in Chinese characters. Hmmmm.....I think I will prepare the Fax to GZ.
