raineedaze
I wanted to know if they had received my wifes P3 package and if she has cleared the name check. I noticed that many people were calling DOS but I had been successful using email to guangzhou. I thought I would try that again. They got back to me in one day and told me that they did receive the P3 package and it has been entered. They also told me that the name check has cleared. I am very pleased with the quick response and the information. I feel we will finally see a end to this extremely difficult process in the next 3 or 4 months. This is the third time that I used the email process with Guangzhou and I have always received good information from them. Link to comment
frank1538
Good news Dennis. Like you, I used e-mail to GZ more often than calls to DOS. Sometimes, the information was not what I wanted to hear, but I have always thought GZ was responsive. Sounds like you're in the queue. Link to comment
Randy W
I send email through the consulate website and often get a response within hours. I try no more often than every 2 weeks, and usually get a personalized response, rather than a form letter. However, when they provide an "expected wait time", it is usually a pre-canned figure.
