CR-1 NAMECHECK

I am wondering if there is any kind of average timeline for a CR-1 between the time that GUZ asks for the namecheck and its completion and entry into the system at DOS ?

Any help is appreciated.

I don't know of any average time frame for name checks. I would imagine it would depend on the name and whether it is a common name. I do know it was 5 months and 15 days until we got our interview from the time NVC said the case was complete and forwarded to GUZ. This included the month of clearance delay.

Check out my wife's timeline for a recent CR1 case. From NVC to GZ to entered into the computer to 2nd name check completed.

 

My NVC to GZ enters case into the computer time was long !!! However it appears my 2nd name check completed time is good (not sure if quicker than normal or about average).

 

Even though our 2nd name check was completed on 06/23/05, we did not find out about it until the end of July !!! Even though I called the DOS once per week in July. Since the consulate enters this information into the computer and not the DOS, maybe the consulate did not do this for 3 - 4 weeks, who knows ???
