Because the events surrounding her husband's death were so traumatic, she however lost track of the original. The only way of obtaining another copy were for witnesses to attend her on a personal visit to the hospital that declared his death. They created a new death certificate for her, which was certified by the appropriate authorities. We then had that certificate tranlated to English by a certified translation service, who also stamped and notarized. I sent copies of this certificate, and many other items to the USCIS, who should actually have my first petition in hand now as I mailed it this past Monday, 6/6/2005. J & L Link to comment
