lynne
Probably no one here has ever traveled alone to China with their child but I thought I'd ask. I just heard that a friend was recently denied permission to fly alone with her children to Mexico because she didn't have a notorized permission form from their father. I had to get a notorized permission form for our son to get a US passport and I didn't think about getting a permisson letter as well. I'll also be bringing a copy of his birth certificate since we have different last names. I've been trying to get specific information about this concerning China, the DOS web site only says it is required for some countries. We're leaving Monday so I guess there is still time to have him get a notorized permission form and skan or fax it to me. Link to comment
Guest Gene
My son and I just went to Guangzhou for the interveiw. His mother had to sign to get his passport, but after that point no problems, getting Visa or traveling. Our last names are the same, I don't know if that made any difference or not. Link to comment
