bubbafred10
I will try to get CR1 for my laopo and K4 for my stepson. Is this possible? What do I need to do, or inform GZ, to make this possible? In addition, I have already submitted I-864 for the NVC approved I-130 CR1 visa petition, which is now in GZ. I expect the I-129F petition for K3/K4 visa will soon be approved, and goes to NVC and GZ. I would pursue K4 visa for my stepson, because the CR2 is lagging too far behind. Since the I-130 for CR1 is already in GZ, will the I-129F K3/K4 be null and void when it arrives in GZ? I read elsewhere that it will not, if K4 is viable. Would GZ request I-134 for the K3/K4's packet P3? I think they would because the I-864 in my laopo's CR1 petition is specifically for the CR1. I suppose I can send both I-134 and I-864 to my laopo, so when she gets packet 3, she can send either or both forms. Link to comment
frank1538
If I'm not mistaken, the K-4 is a derivative visa and requires a K-3 for the parent. I skeptical whether you would be able to get a K-4 for your step son without getting a K-3 for your wife. Link to comment
