325a Question

I'm helping a friend compile information for filing and we came upon an interesting question. His SO moved to her current address in 2002, but this address was not her registered address until 2004.

 

When he is filling out the 325a and DS230 which time frame should he use, the real dates or the registered date for the address.

 

My gut tells me the registered dates are the ones he should use as any record check would probably show them.

 

Any thoughts or suggestions?
