Reminds me of some of the areas surrounding my wife's home town in Henan. I don't think the people there are missing much of anything with the possible exception of indoor plumbing and drinkable water. Give them TV's, cars and video games and the rest of the junk we say makes us "civilized" and they'll be wishing for the "good old days when life was so simple". Or maybe I'm just grouchy from my 50 minute commute home from work!

Hong was an assistant engineer for a road construction company. She has a 2 year degree in engineering / road construction. Her work consisted mainly of putting together bids and budgets or, as she calls it, playing with fantasy numbers

For me it was partly the fact that I have always been attracted to oriental women, but mostly it was my wife. She is beautiful, very sexy and has a personality that matches so well with mine! She is my soul mate!

I also want to add my thanks to the core of CFL! You guys are always ready with the correct info, never hesitate to set someone straight when they need setting straight, and provide a steady anchor to the storm that is GUZ! What can I say but, you guys are the BEST!

Thanks for the info!

When we came through the POE they took all paperwork and told her that the visa in her passport was her ID card. Is that all we need to get Hong her SSN?

Arrived home yesterday! We passed through Chicago POE Friday afternoon without any problems. After 3 weeks all over China and dozens of taxi's we were ripped off by the cab driver in Chicago who took us to the hotel and ran the meter to $35 for what turned out to be a ten dollar ride! Welcome back to the good old USA!!

Welcome home! Hong and I are so happy for you two! Hope you have a wonderful wedding!!

So where IS this imfamous post office. Hong and I went looking tonight and couldn't find it using the map the consulate gave us. Between a lack of good directions on the map and a lack of street signs it's kinda hard to find the address!

Congratulations!! I wish I knew there was another CFL'er there, I asked most of the Americans I saw there, but all I got were blank looks so I dropped it. Bill and Li Hong did stop by shortly after Hong had gotten her pink slip to congratulate us and we chatted a while afterward.

Li Hong was blessed wuth a beautiful pink sheet of paper this morning. She said she was interviewed by a man with dark hair and dark eyes, he asked 4 questions: Where did you get married and when, What is your husbands phone number, where did we meet, and how many times did your husband come to China to see you. Then he asked to see our pictures, said they were very nice and told her congratulations!

Congratulations to you guys We're very happy for you! Li Hong says Hello to Li Hong!

Congratulations! Lets hope that pink continues!

Just got back from ACH, met Henry and family and a few others not on CFL, I had 30ish man with long curly hair, I've heard good things about him. I introduced myself and asked a few questions about original paper or copy and support paper. He said to use originals and have one good set of support papers. He also said to start interview in English and they would switch it to Chinese to speed things up. He said he didn't see any problems. I'll take that as a good sign. I hope Li Hong gets him!!!!
Well a few days of rest until Thursday morning¡¯s next big event.
We hope to have dinner with the other CFL members on Wednesday night after a few have had interview and a few more of us are gathering data of what to expect.
Later!
I'm fairly sure Li Hong and I walked past you and Li Hong last evening. I said hi, but recognition didn't occur until you had passed. Anyway, where is everone going to meet for dinner Wednesday? Hong and I would love to join you!
