yeah I saw that example too. but im still confused. Im my boyfriend's fiancee. so isnt it supposed to be fiancee letter of intent?

A male and a female who intend to marry are fianc and fiance, bit I honestly couldn't tell you which is which, or where the little accent mark goes.. Sign the letter as from yourself, and have your fianc do the same thing- that should be enough to identify which is which

Looking it up in the dictionary, the man is the fianc; the woman is the fiance. They are French words - don't worry about it. We tend to use fianc for either.

one more question about the explanation of meeting in person. is it only my boyfriend who will write this or both of us need to write and sign?

  2. N/A means "Not Applicable" this means it does not apply to you for example question regarding former marriage, if never married before former spouse would be NONE and date of former marriage would then be N/A

    Other names used --- "NONE"

so former husbands or wives NONE, first name N/A, date of birth N/A, date and place of marriage N/A, date and place of termination of marriage N/A.

    is that correct?

I thought I only needed to put NONE in front and leave other boxes empty.

  3. I want to know what kind of visa do I need to hold in order to get a single status certificate from Chinese embassy in Thailand. I called the embassy and the lady wouldnt give me a clear answer. she asked me to go to window 8 to get samples. she also said that everybody's case is different. I called twice but they told me the same. the problem is that im not in Thailand right now.

I believe only if you both hold residency in Thailand, if not then US Citizen would have to mail the petition to the USCIS address in the USA, visa interview would be handled by US Consulate having jurisdiction over your place of residence.

thanks so much for helping me sort things out.
what does hold residency mean? does it mean that we have to hold some certain kind of visa while living in Thailand?
