  1. Today I finally got together and sending out a up date. Fengjie is in California visiting her daughter. They have not seen each other in pretty much 11 years. A lot of crazy things have happen. But she has done well adjusting ti America. There has been times the language barrier has been a problem. We went to Las Vegas and sure would you know she won some money. There are still so many wonderful times since we have been together. Although one day at the hotel the shower curtain was out instead of in the tub. There was only about a inch of water on the floor. Hope you all are doing good.

  2. Congrats! :) :) :) :)

Thanks Michael, we'll see how the WI winters are for her... Maybe this will be a mild winter??? Let's hope. From the 18th parallel to the 43!

We also live in Wisconsin. Fengjie has been in America since April 6, 2010. So we will see how she likes the winters. Altough she is from Shenyang and it gets cold there. Maybe not as much snow.

  3. Congrats!!!! Dan

I also did the CR 1. Once you check in at Immigration when she gets to the states. Her passport will be her temporary Green Card and then should receive within 30 days. The social security card she can get it right away. Then it is about a week or less and she will get it in the mail. I am happy for you both.

  4. My friend Jeff is getting married to Chinese woman on June 26,2010.

    Here is his question.

My fiance came to the US on Apr 29th. Her son did not accompany her but wants to come later. Can someone please tell me what he has to do since he has turned 18 since her arrival. Also what do we have to do on this end? What forms need to be filled out besides the I-485? He was included on her original K-1 visa application.

    Thanks,

    Michael

Well when I was in the Marines. They said if they wanted you to have a wife they would have issued you one. I was only in for 6 years. Good luck with your new wife.
