  1. UPdate :whistling: on passport

    1. no major isues getting the paport and the embassy personel were OK to deal with .

One thing for sure is that they will reject the photos that you bring and require you to pay $10 to have their offical photos .

There were about 40 people there when we arrived at 9:35 AM and there were 6 windows open .

We left at 10:15 so other than being forced to drive 500 plus miles to get a passport renewed it was not a bad experience

    Hi,

i have a question. My step son's passport is now expired. He and my SO were K3 K4 and just got the green cards this last week, so we waited on the interviews to be done before we tried this passport renewal in Houston.

Did you get the OLD passport back? This is why we waited until after the interview, I did not want to lose the passport with the K4 visa in it. Do they keep it?

  2. WE PASSED !!!!!!!!

got the official I-797 welcome letters today...

    thank you all...

good luck to others.. I had a ton of issues over the last 9 years.. getting 4 total green cards to my name in the US database was not fun to say the least. I have been with my current wife over 3 years now and all is great.

  3. Well, today was the day. Went to that Irving location. The VO was a nice lady in training, so there was actually 2 VO. The experienced one just sat quietly watching and listening.

8 questions, and not a single piece of paper or pictures asked for.

    It went like this...

    Please raise right hand...

    sit down please

Can I have your ID's SS card, EAD, passports...

Looked at my SO and asked.. what is your full name?

    What is your birthdate?

    Have you been arrested?

    Have you received food stamps?

Have you used a fake SS card to get a job?

    What is your street address?

What was your last entry date to the USA?

Where did you enter the USA?

    My step son even less..

    what is your full name?

    What date is your birhtday?

What was your last entry date to the USA?

Sign here, initial here for both of them...

    That was it.

VO indicated that she had enough information in the packet to make her decision and would mail me a letter...

1 hour waiting room time, 15 minutes VO time.

Guess we will wait on the snail mail now.

  4. We finally got an interview date... Wow, I think we are the last ones on the VJ March 09 filing spreadsheet. Got everything we sent in for AP, EAD, for K3 and K4 in like 30 days, but that interview.... out there.

The interview is in Sept.. Month away still... Has anyone here got a notice to appear at a Irving Texas location? That is new to me on this location. I have been to the Northwest HWY, I35 and Mockingbird, I35 and Inwood, I635 and Jupiter Road locations, but never the Irving location...

  5.

I was thinking about you guys today ! :)

You're married 2.5 years, this should sail right through.

Our I-765 MSC's loaded in the system (portfolio) last week, but not yet on the I-485 MSC #'s.

    Tomorrow !! ;)

today was your turn.... how did it go?

My MSC numbers are still not there :(

I guess I'll just latch onto your thread..

The bio appn't went very well today.

It was scheduled for 11:00, and I left home early, to avoid a traffic surprise along the way (one hour trip). We arrived at 9:50 and I went in and told the security official that we had arrived and asked if they could take us early? He replied, sure, come on in.

Showed him the passports and the NOA's and filled out the two forms. They called my daughter first, and then 5 minutes later called my wife. I sat and watched as they did the EFP's and then the photos, both were done about the same time and we were out of there at 10:30 a.m. The security guards and the bio-techs were all very nice and low-key.

Very quiet and not very many people in our time slot. Nice modern building, easy to find and parking right close to their front door.

Had Dim Sum and tea nearby in downtown Sacto, then hit the Chinese food store before heading back home.

I am glad this is out of the way. :)

I just checked and only the MSC #'s for the I-765's are loaded into our portfolio. The I-485 MSC's are not there yet; but I expect they should be soon, now that the Bio-Met is completed.

I still cannot get ALL my MSC numbers in my portfolio, but today I got I-512L AP documents. These documents are good to May - 2010.. issued on May 4th and in my hands May 9th. The EAD is in the online system and approved for card issue in 30 days... some good news..

  6. Hey Roger... Glad to see the post about the "your case will not show up online for a while " .. I have been trying to insert my new MSC numbers for 2 weeks and they still do not show up as valid numbers. Thankfully I did get my Bio letters really fast so I didnt have to worry about that one.

I even went are far as creating a login ID for my wife on the USCIS online case status site since her name is on the application and not mine this time. Didnt do any better however, still showed not valid.

    Good Luck !

  7. Mailed my AOS package Mar 17th 09.... I did the rogerinca package type deal. Give what they want a little more. I was hoping for a NON-AOS interview, but with my past history of K visa's, I am most likely going to the local center for a talking to.

I got NOA's on all applications.

    K-3 - I-485, I-131, I-765

    K-4 - I-485, I-131

These NOA's came from the MSC ... guess I did not make it to CSC.

I have a question if someone knows... I am trying to add the NOA receipt numbers to my USCIS portfolio. It is indicating that the case numbers cannot be found. Does it take a while for these to get in the system, or am I excepting that the orginial case numbers will get touches at some point?

  8. Yes, I thought that was the reading I understood also.. $600.. I have read on here in the past that if you send TOO much money for an application, it will be rejected also. They cannot give change, and they do not want your extra money. The amount must be exact for the application filing.

Its been 8 days since I sent my package. So far no RFE's.
