  1. Yo Henry first I should say howdy and welcome to CFL

wonderland..... I don't get on here much anymore.

Someone higher up the food chain and Obama wanted change,

    seems they got it

As Randy.... kinda hinted most of us are busy in our on

little part of God's country known as TEXAS.

With my lovely wife going to College and me busy trying to

get all the bail out money the two Auto Mfgs would spend.

Well time is something we have little of right now....

    but........................

summer is coming and the bail out money is gone

My golf clubs are cleaned and I'm ready to play with some balls

and have a few cool drinks with those funny lit tooth picks in them

#1 As I recall Andrew "urkiddin" did the first one with BBQ at Bear Creek Park.....

ok maybe that wasn't the name??

#2 Jim did a get together down in La Grange....

just a hop and a skip away from where the Chicken Ranch use to be

#3 we did a get together at our home out here next to

    CutnShoot.... "

  2.

ah i see... that's quite strange, no? the date on my 2 yr GC was the day of the interview. But I think it's better to be able to remove conditions earlier. =)

Thats strange cuz our 2 year GC was from the date we enter

    the States "POE".

Yeap I just check it again, from the date that we enter SF aka

"POE" ... but maybe CR1 is a tad different?

  3. I file my lovely wifes papers for her 10 GC back in mid Dec

Yesterday "1/21/09" we went in for her interview as they called it,

but there was no interview only finger prints and photos was take.

In was very painless, less than 15 minutes in and out.

Emma was so worried cuz she didn't have her passport as it was

    sent off to be renewed....

The only things that was ask for was......

the paper showing we had an apointment, Texas DL and her 2

    year GC.

Really I was suprised on how these folks handle things and to tell

the truth they was even nice and showed a smile to everyone

Was told from 2-4 months before the 10 year green card would

    appear in our mail box.......

guess we will see if thats true or not...

  4. My wife even had a pass divorce. RED FLAG?? Maybe!

But ether way our papers flew through the system with no problems.

Dang Nuworld that has got to be a record

and no sir I ain't pickin on you... so don't go there... please?

as long as the both of you are happy thats all that matters

I hope y'all live together and or happy for the next 100 years

  5. I hate to bring this up and don't want to put salt in anyones

    wound but,

I'm not trying to start a pi$$in contest but, some folks got pink

and had only known there other half a few weeks.

As for me I was in no hurry to tie the knot and made plenty of trips

across the pond.... in saying that I know many folks can't get the

time off from work and for others I'm sure there are or other reasons.

    Both:

    1. A very brief courtship followed by a plunge into matrimony;

    2. A marriage ceremony arranged only a short time after petitioner arrives in the beneficiary¡¯s country and they meet for the first time;

    --------------------

  6. Green card arrives automatically.

SS card may or may not arrive automatically, but usually ppl go to a SSA office 2 to 3 weeks after arrival, and apply in person.

NO AOS , once you have GC yer done for about 2 years - then you apply for 'removal of conditions'.

He'll be eligible for citizen after 3 years of green card date, can apply after that time tick. It's not automatic though, have to apply for it.

Darnell, it seems you forgot something

"State ID Card" should be done after SS is in hand, then banking

stuff, etc, then get "State DL", that is unless you don't want her/him

    to drive

    but thats JMO

  7. Well Mr Roggie aka ur hinneynass....

bills are a lot easier to carry

1,000,000.00 yuan but better yet if-in it was in US dollars.....

I mean you work for the US Gummit... I trust that you can

take care of this tiny problem....

Dam did I just say I trust lit ol Roggie?

Its not like its a bail out or even a loan, after all I could sell-em

"my new hammer and throw in a new book that old St. Nick left me"

you know just to sweeten the pot

I'm thinkin this falls in the line with appreciating....

  8. Well gezz thanks Roggie but.....

I want be needin your 1000 yuan

In fact I won 4.6 milion today, but I order to collect my

4.6 million "Which is in the form of a Cashiers Check"

I have to go to Western Union and send this firm 500usd

on second thought get my 10,000 yuan ready Roggie

maybe its worth a travel to the frozen tundra for 100,000 yuan

  9. Darn Roggie you gonna marry this lit lady two times?

My guess is once ain't enough for you? You folks in

ChezWizConSin sure do strange thingies.. guess its all

that cold air you folks breathe in?

Can't blame I would marry my wife again....

so long we'er both the same side of that big pond

life with that big pond tween you.... well it really sucks

  10.

    URROYALHINEYNESS... :gleam:

I knew it!!! I knew it all alone that u was nothing more than a

    URROYALHINEYNESS..... :)

for a few years thats what I have called you

but as I recall the way I put it Roggie.... it was no so "PC"

    :( :D

OK I ain't so smart in math but ..

now I see the light and the truth and the "PC way"

and cents we have a change coming in our future....

one would think apprecating is the only way to go

    so did I win???

  11.

    Bobby,

1 to 2 hours? The office must have been busy.

Fully agree with KTM and you though. Our marriage registry for the Red Book in Chengdu, took about 1 hour at the maximum. The hardest part was filling in the blanks on the paperwork registry form.

The US gave me five months of headaches, with paperwork.

My wife still wants to know why the US has slower processing of government paperwork than China. BTW! I agree with her on this point.

    Dave

    Well bro Dave

As I recall it seems we was the only couple in the office at this time.

as it was durning or around the lunch hour

The cute lit gal that waited on us did share her hot-n-spicy noddles with us and she also got to pratice her english skills.....

Heck I felt proud as I was able to teach her a few Texas Redneck words.

Yeap your right the paper (s) was just fill in the blanks, It was easy even for a TEXAN, as everyone knows I ain't so smart in math.

As I recall they even take the photos for the two famous "Red Books"

3 photos total... the wife, then me and us together.

Now the cute lit gal types all the info in the computer, checks to make sure we are both single, down loads the photos, prints and paste them to the famous "RedBook" and to her paper work

Sign here and here, and pay, then the cute gal said a few words.... and now your married...

You get two Redbooks and we also got two gold Chinese coins

in a cute lit red box

oh BTW they do keep the single paper (s) showing your single and able to marry, and the one that was translated into Chinese with the famous Chinese Red seal/numbers on it... so its best to have extra copies made...

Clear copies as you may need them down the road.

"yeap as you can see the paper work in China is a real night mare"

    but as I said before....

getting married in China aint' right for everyone

  12.

Statistics actually say K-1 is faster and has a slightly higher approval rating than the K-3. That's the only reason I went the K-1 route. Not to mention getting married in China has its own paperwork nightmares.

    :) Good Luck!

And what exactly are those nightmares? spoken from experience?Hmmm, 1 hour to single certificate and then the little red book. Yeah, a total nighmare.

Yeap "our lit RedBook" took about the same time 1- 2 hours

bout as easy as ordering StarBucks coffee....

ok not that fast but, it was no nightmare and I'm talking from experience. or you?

I'm not saying getting married in China is right for everyone

I'm sure some have had nightmares, and I'm sure some of it

was just "BS" and some where there paper work was not correct,

etc and some had a third party with there lit fingers in the pie.... like the ex or other family members

    Some folks have no ideal.....

  13. We went CR1 and I would not have done it any other way.

JMO... My lovely wife wanted to do K3 cuz those gals on 001

said that was the only way to go..... but I put my foot down

and say NO way Jose!! and yes it was like steppin on a land mine

but today she will tell you I did the correct way

Everyone has there reason for filing which ever way that see

fit. But it took us less than 1 year... 347 days from start to finish

and no we didn't use a Lawyer.

Just remember... First in does not mean first out.. in other words

just because your file is on top today, tomorrow it maybe on the

bottom of the pile or heck maybe hindin under someones desk....

    best wishes

  14. Wow! I am curious how much that cost, but I will keep my mouth shut. You are definitely the man when it comes to keeping family first sir! :D

Well shippin stuff by a freight container ain't cheap.

We had a 20" container full and plus on 5 of my 7 trips

back to the states I always carrired some of my wife's

and or son stuff....books, cloths, shoes, purses, etc...

opposs I forget to say shoes and purses?

Now of course the purses belong to the wifie not the son

Even a beautiful new leather Chinese sofa and love seat

We did ship some stuff viva China post but we lost one box

and some of the boxes looked like they had be through hell and

was ready to tear open the next time they was picked up and or droped. Only one picture frame was broken out of all this shippin.....

so all in all the wifie was happy and everyone knows a happy

    wife means a happy home....

so the money was well spent... JMO

Get some rest and enjoy ya'lls life together
