My 2-yr green card would be expired in November,now I just found out that the most important evidence is my name has to be shown on the mortgage contract! But I havn't been working since I moved out here,is it possible or hard to add my name on the mortgage?

No, of course not. The passport is good enough for the time being. The EAD or a state ID card, maybe DL) will be the first picture ID issued in the US. THANKS !!!!
