I just dont know what to say. Im a k1 and the process has gone so fast, I feel guilty watching all the husbands and wives be put on the sidelines. I totally agree with you the priority's of immigration are pretty screwed up. Students first? Workers first? K1 first? Ya its pretty much Goupi. Family should be first ALWAYS. The rulebook needs to be changed for sure, and priority needs to go where it belongs. If I could give you cuts inline in front of me, I surely would and Im sure my SO would agree. The US is so freaking paranoid its unreal!!!! I got my visa in 4 days to go to china. Whats the deal with that? I didnt even need a hotel reservation! And I surely didnt need an interview in a city half way across the nation!!! No sponsor, no medical, no nothing!!! 70 bucks and 4 days wait. ITs WRONG what our government is doing to people like you and your wife. I know we can't change things overnight, but I darn sure know we can change the future somehow, someway. USA is all for human rights? Ya when pigs fly. Family values? They should practice what they preech.

I wish you, your wife and your family the best and the fastest. Yes your time will come and it will all be worth it. Godspeed to you.

  2. The way my SO explains it to me, is, She can have her medical exam done, but the papers will not be released to her until she shows the 134 at the hospital. How can the U.S. Government require me to show sensitive material concerning my life, to an unbonded stranger in a country half way around the world????? I feel the same way about prying eyes on my 134 and assets. Yes, I can submit the 134 to the consulate and circumvent the need to show it to the hospital staff. But with the time frame (interview 8am,monday, sept 12,) I doubt they would recieve it in time (no faith in the postal service or GZ). Like many of you, I had intended to bring my 134 and supporting doc's with me for her interview. But under the circumstances, I see no alternative but to submit. Otherwise, it means more time spent in GZ away from my SO's family during my stay. Not to mention Hotel and travel expenses to GZ to return after her medical to show the 134 for the release of her medical results. My SO's interview is on a monday, and she says the hospital is (closed saturday and sunday???). Given this, to bring my 134 with me and wait to pick up her med doc's, I would need to stay in GZ from at minimum, Friday sept 9th (get med doc's) until wedesday sept 14th, (get visa). I would rather spend as much time with her family in her home town as possible, which is a 14 hour bus ride from GZ.

Not knowing what the GIV-8 says, I dont truly know my options.

  3. Just got word from my SO. The hospital doesn't put the 134 into the packet with the med docs, they simply need to veryify she has possesion of my completed 134 . They will look at it and return it to her. Also, it seems she has a form that is missing from the links and resources for p4 docs. GIV-8 !!! Anybody got one???? She said she would fax it to me but she doesnt want to spend the many money  . I told her, honey I LISTEN TO YOU  which only got me a response of YOU SAY  . Yes all is well and her thumb print is getting deeper in the top of my head. :o Good luck to all.

  4. I fear to post this, but I feel I must. I hope I dont offend anyone but HPV is a serious threat that most people have never heard about.

    HI

Im very very sorry to hear about your SO's Cervical cancer. I have done alot of research on the cause of cervical cancer and I would like to share my small amount of knowledge with those here at CFL.

In most cases, Cervical cancer is caused by a virus. HPV. HPV can be contracted in many ways, and it is an STD. A simple pap smear will not detect HPV. It must be tested for specifically with a pap smear.

There are over 100 different strains of HPV virus. About 30 of the strains have been directly linked to Cervical Cancer. ONLY women can be tested for HPV. Men CANNOT be tested for the virus. Men unknowingly become a carrier of the virus. HPV in woman can lay dormant for years, but will most generaly show up after 6 months of exposure to the virus. HPV virus in men can cause Penile cancer among other things. According to studies, China has one of the highest prevelances of HPV in the world, second only to America.

A couple that carry the same HPV virus cannot re-infect eachother. The virus will eventually become null in most cases.

Women can give birth to children if thier cervical cancer did not require removal of the cervix or if there was not too much scar tissue created during treatment. However if memory recalls, a C section delivery would likely be in order.

HPV virus can be transmitted by something as simple as a handshake.

There are many helpful websites about HPV and Cervical cancer.

My prayers are with you and your SO in hopes of a complete and fast recovery a VISA and long healthy and loving life together for the both of you "with kids" .

  5. GZ will not allow both parties into interview at new consulate either, according to this email I recieved from GZ june 9th.

XX.XXXXX will probably have interview in the new Consulate building.

    However, only applicants are admitted.

    Sincerely,

    Guangzhou IV

GZ also gave me an estimate as to when the interview might take place. Our p3 was returned EMS to GZ on April 19th but not logged into the computer until May 12th.

Please be advised that we have received XXX.XXXXX's 230-1 on

    May 12, 2005.

We estimate that XXX.XXXXX might interview in the

August-September time frame. This estimate in no way constitutes a

    guarantee on our part.
