  1. So here is my Final update I hope.

After being denied the K1, K3, CR-1/ IR -1. File for a I-601 and finally got approve a few days ago. This has been a very, very long journey.

1st off, i try to obtain Laurel Scott to file my I-601, but after reviewing my case, she determin that my success rate is about 20-25% chance of approval. So she did not take my case, but she refer me to another I-601 lawyer that worked with her before.

So what's next after I-601 approval ? Who knows.. i hope not another round of USCIS Games.

  2. My wife interview in HK, and everyone came out with a blue sheet. so is not uncommon. don't know if they are back log or not. but my wait time is now at 6 months.

I have had the congressman email them .. but they gave them the same answer as i did every month when i inquired about the status.

They keep telling me my case is very complicated, but they did indicated that our relationship is real.

so hang in there just like me. i have been trying for almost 4 years now.

One thing i don't understand is that when they say my K1 is expired, why can't they just tell me why it was denied.

  3. Thx for the link, i read it an it was very good. i believe the recommendation should be implemented and take affect ASAP.

A friend of mine has been tip toeing through the Internet now for nearly a year now hoping to meet his new paramour of life. His problem is he is waitng for all the stop lights to turn green before he makes the effort in meeting someone. He has tried the American, Asian, Russian sights Etc. My wife has tried to get him interested in someone she knows personally in Nanning. This of course would be the best way to meet a gal. But to no avail.

He sent me a copy of a former visa officer experiences who is writing a book on Immigration now. His report seems pretty straight foward. This maybe be some good guidance for we oldies here as well as the new gentleman.

  4. i don't understand what you mean ?

HK seems to have changed their approval tune.. particularly to previously denied K1s trying K3... I asked a friend in china who worked with couples for visas and they heard the same in regards to HK.

So will be very curious how this turns out. You should be fully aware of the historical happenings, I don't mean to alarm you but warn you towards preparation.

  5. Email the consulate, they will re-schedule the interview. I understand about the mail, it took my husband 10 days before he got packet 4. I found out about his interview because I emailed them after he sent packet 3 back and just asked them if it had been scheduled yet and they sent me an email with his packet 4 info stating it had. They are quick to answer your email about 3 days.

Thanks , i did email them and just recrived my new date Dec 14

btw: tey told me it take 2 week to get the medical report . is that true?

  6. Did you call DOS for status and did they not tell you interview date over phone when you found out P-4 was sent October 30?

Call DOS and find out what is going on, should not take 2 weeks for P4 to be delivered.

i email the HK embassy . i think that's the only way to find out since it's over there.

i'll call the HK embassy tonight when i get home..

  7. Oh man, that sucks! Yeah, I'd get on the horn and call DOS. You may want to get on the ems (or what ever shipping site they use) website and log in your tracking number and print that information off as well - just for future reference.

On the telephone number above, when the auto dude starts talking hit 1 to shut him up and then 0 to talk to an actual person

the thing is , is not EMS delivery.. it was the local mail delivery.

  8. I read his denied a while ago. and i do understand the reson he got denied. As indicated no common spoken language and no tides with HK.

I guess i will try my luck in HK with the K3 ( Just like BorkenHearts, i still have the I-130 in the playing field ). My wife and i speaks english and i have family in HK.. so at least that's 50% of the way there.

I read thru BorkenHearts theads, i assume he did not get the reason back for his denied for the K1 visa.

If your going to HK for interview after a denial at GUZ, I wish you all the best and good luck.

everyones situation is different. so why did they denied you in HK?

--- 12/30/08 USCIS sending why the denial old I-129F (cant wait to get that response)---

did you ever get the above mail for reason for denied ?

did you continue with the I-130 after the K3 was denied ?

You may want to read BorkenHearts threads, the denial nearly caused them to divorce.

Recently they are now working on pushing the I-130 through NVC, hopefully the denied K-3 wont cause issues.

  9. Since your K-3 interview would be in Hong Kong, this will not happen. You may wish to go to the K-3 interview in Hong Kong - you will still be eligible for the CR-1 in Guangzhou. The CR-1 will result in a green card upon entry.

This is one of those cases where having the two petitions can work to your advantage.

Randy, what did you mean that this will not happen ? do u neam the will reject my k3 interview in HK and make me go CR1 instead ?

  11. ok, thx.

btw: when you said sent. you mean you email the pdf to them . is that correct?

also after you pay for the AOS, did they email you to send in the AOS form? or did you just sent it to the email address?

sorry about all the questions, i just don't want to mess up this new process.

Yes, I emailed them. Actually I got a change of case number email (maybe you could call nvc if you didn't receive any) after I turned in the email saying participate the electronic process, and it said I could turn in my AOS package.

ok.. guess i have to wait for the new case # email before i send anything iin.

  12. rick, when do you email the aos form to nvc? do you do that after you pay them?

I just started the new eletronic processing. one question.

with the aos fee that you can pay online, it requires the GUZ#. do you wait for NVC to issue the new electronic processing # or can you use the old GUZ #?

But I'd like to hear some experiences... Or if it generates questions is fine.

it's probably time to update the FAQ with this new step after I get a good understanding of it.

I just used the old one and paid online. After the new number is issue, if you login to the online fee payment page with the new number, it will bring you back to the same page as the old one.

  13. Thx, i'll do that

  15. Thx, i'll put me as the agent.

No, She will automatically get everything already.

This form is for her to fill out and choose an agent in the US who will receive copies of everything sent to her. This is a safe guard in case she does not receive everything they send her. This is where she chooses you as an agent.

When we filed for my wife's parents, my wife was listed on their DS-3032. Once they were sent interview letter, my wife also received a copy. My wife's parents never got the P4 packet or letter. Since my wife was listed on their DS-3032, we were able to download the P4 packet, Fedex them the packet and a copy of the invitation letter and have them attend the interview. Had she not been chosen as the agent of choice, they would not have been able to attend the interview. No one would have received the invitation letter.
