Hello everyone, My wife found a company on the 001 forums, which she says is very cheap. Their website is http://www.cbsc-online.com/ The tickets are like 3800 yuan before taxes for Asiana Airlines from Beijing to JFK I was wondering if anyone on here has heard of them? I just wanted to double-check that they are safe to deal with. Hopefully someone on here has experience with them!

That's great to hear, congratulations!!!

No - you need to break out their income separately (assuming she doesn't want to sign. The best way to do this is by including the W-2's. If she does want to sign, would it be helpful though? I didn't see anything on the I-864 about it being signed by both the husband and wife.

I have a question regarding my father's I-864... He filed taxes jointly with my mother. Will they need to sign together at the bottom of the form? I have one other question...does her name need to be on #24 along with her income? She will not be filling out an I-864a because she did not file her taxes seperately. Thanks for the help!

Actually it is a requirement of form I-864 to attach most recent year's IRS return. A note to Jordan: If you are DCF, you may have to deal with US Domicile issue and demonstrate to the satisfaction of the counselor officer that you maintained US Domicile while out of the country, or good evidence that you are re-establishing it. You are REQUIRED to provide an I-864 for support, and I-864 REQUIRES US Domicile. You can use a person in the USA as a Joint sponsor, but you are still required to provide an I-864. A good recent post to read: http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=32256 Thanks, that is very helpful!

My father is going to be my co-sponsor, so I was gonna get the past 3 years tax returns for him. Would it still be necessary for me to have those too?

I have a question regarding tax returns. Do I need to file one now? I do not have any tax return for 2007 as I have been here in Beijing for 1 1/2 years now. Do I need to file a 1040 or what? I have just been working part time in Beijing, but I don't have a Z-visa. Is there any need for a tax return, or do I just need to write a paper explaining why I didn't file one? Thanks for the help, - Jordan

I have a question...I scheduled an appointment to go talk to CIS in-person (Beijing), because they could not answer my questions on the phone about my visa and whatnot. I have not yet filed a DCF petition, but I plan to in the near future. However, when I visit CIS, is there anything that I should be prepared for? If me and my wife go there together, will they ask many questions£¿ Will they want me to file it right away when I go there, or can I still wait a few months? Thanks for the help, I just wanna make sure I'm prepared for anything that could occur.

I Can or Can't get married in China?

Wow, congratulations! I'm serious, I've seen you on like 4 different forums that I go to. I just got married as well....are you gonna file a DCF now? -
http://www.state.gov/r/pa/prs/ps/2007/mar/82030.htm I was here on a 1 year on an F visa before I left, then came back and changed to a 1 year spouse L-visa. Does this mean there could be problems? EDIT: I've heard recently that some Americans have had L (spouse) visas, but still were able to file the petition with no problems.

Is it true that I must be in China for at least 6 months, before my wife can apply for her visa? We are going to apply for the CR-1 (inside china), and I was previously here for 1 year, and left for 2 weeks. Now I heard that I must be here for a consecutive 6 months before the application. Is that true, do they really count it from the first day I come back to China, and they don't care how long I was here before? Thanks for the help, - Jordan

Hello everyone, I have a question regarding my fiancee's hukou. We are going to get married this week, and then we are going to apply for the visa. However, her father recently added someone else onto the hukou, and she is a military policewoman here. It is apparently...illegal I suppose, and I am hoping his actions won't have negative consequences on us. Does anyone know if this matters during any stage of the visa process, if the hukou will be checked out, and if there is any possibility this could be a problem? Thanks for your help! - Jordan
