It reads: Congratulations! Your immigrant (or K) visa application has been approved; we now only require the passport(s) of the approved applicant(s) for printing. This is really great news!!! But I have read that some people didn't actually get a visa once they arrived. Is it ok to celebrate? We've waited so long and now it feels like we have overcome a huge step! Thanks everyone for asking and answering posts, it has helped me a lot and sometimes made me worry (but not too much) . Also, when does this thing expire? We can't get to GUZ for a few weeks.

I really think you make a good point here. What I've been wanting to know from them is what's going on with our case (are they even looking at it right now). But I don't think they will answer that because it really doesn't have specific answer ? What do you guys think ?
-
Has anyone ever got an actual answer to their question from GUZ through the email service or are all the answers scripted ? Just curious because all of the answers I've received have been the same.
-
I've been looking at it and I can see it would be difficult but it couldn't cover everything. There are some things that certainly throw up a red flag, but really the VO's can say anything they want
-
I did that but I didn't look at all of the google pages of links. The search on CFL isn't always the best. I was just thinking of something that might help others. I might see if I could make a list (would take a little time) and post what I find.

I am glad to see you guys getting pink !!! That helps me to see it is possible to pass. But, I am really jealous and miss my xiao houzi . Anyway, good luck to everyone ! I hope to see more posts with pink in them Scott

I was wondering if a list of possible red flags has been posted on CFL ? I searched for it but couldn't find anything. I have seen some charts on here and was wondering if anyone thought about a chart for reasons blue and white slips have been given.

Any CFL members with Administrative processing over 6 months?
Scott replied to ken88's topic in Interview Results
Hey Ken, I think we've been in AR (not processing) for about 3 months now. Our emails are getting answered with similar scripted responses. As far as our relationship is going, we fight about what to put in our next email. I am told to send "strong" emails but I don't want to piss anyone off at GUZ. Qi sees other girls on 001 that had interviews after ours that resulted in blue slips get a second interview date while we are still waiting. It sucks but what can we do about it ? Nothing at all. Best thing I've found to do is to keep doing the things you did when you first started talking to your SO before you even started the visa process. Those are the things that brought you into a loving relationship. Best of luck, Scott -
Package received by fianc¨¦e and already sent/received at the consulate. Postal employee was just inexperienced with Global Express Guaranteed.

This is a little weird to me. Today I went to the Post Office to mail my overcome info for our blue slip. I got in line and had the little forms already filled out, only thing I had to do was put a few papers in one of their envelopes and pay for the postage. The guy is pushing buttons on his little computer and says to me, "I can't let you send this". At first I thought he was joking. He said that my letters were considered personal letters and they were going to an individual, not a business. So I asked him why I didn't have a problem before (when I sent the kitchen sink). He said someone made a mistake. He printed a "receipt" of why he couldn't send it, here is what it reads: Critical Information: Transaction cannot continue. The following contents are prohibited. Documents: Only acceptable if sent for business purposes and consigned to a business. Private letters and correspondence addressed to individuals are prohibited. I don't know. Maybe it was just a dumb window clerk or dumb me (maybe a little of both, lol), but I was wondering if anyone has ever had a similar problem and if GZ knows about it. They do ask us to send things to them for verification through our SO's. Seems like they should know about the laws on mailing things to China. Anyway, I just went to Fedex and laughed about it with the lady there, it should be there by Wednesday. Crazy world. Scott

Ok, I am preparing for the overcome and my "SO" wants me to send more than what the blue slip asks for. The blue slip reads: "Please Mr. xxxxx explain your income and current living condition. Please explain in a certified statement what you do for work now as well. Please have your parents write a certified statement and have it photographed with you and your parents explain that they will help support Qi". Qi feels that the VO didn't believe I really work where I do and that my parents will not really help (although I thought the I-134 was enough and was prosecutable by law and the VO didn't need more also, it is a sworn statement). Qi wants me to send letters from my employers again (this time notarized), tax receipts for the houses my parents own (one they will move into, the other they will let us live in). My concern is that if I send too much that the VO will give us a blue slip for something he finds in the extra "stuff" and just want more. I know the VO gave a second blue slip to a guy because his letter (7 page letter) was too long and he wanted a shorter letter or an outline. Please help me with this, don't want another blue slip. Another thing I am curious about is the 001 site that my ke ai xiao laohu taitai goes to . They talk a lot about the different VO's that work at the consulate and from what she tells me and it really scares me. Maybe I worry too much, but what else can you do when you think you are about to lose something so special ??? Thanks always everyone, Scott

Ok, thanks everyone for helping calm my nerves (although I've heard some stories about this particular VO that still have me on edge a little). I have a question though. The VO wants a certified statement. The best I can tell is they want something like this: I (co-sponsors name's) will provide Scott and Qi any financial support they need as required per the I-134 under penalty of perjury...... etc..... Subscribed and sworn to before me On this _____ day of ______, 200_ _________________________________ Notary Public My commission expires on Not so sure on the wording yet, hope it is good enough. A lot of you have been through this so I appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks in advance Scott

I just found out that the same VO gave someone else a blue slip and told them to write a letter and take a pic of them holding it, so they wrote a letter and went back to the interview and got the same VO. This time the VO said the letter was too long and gave them a blue slip telling them to write a shorter letter. The third interview the VO was traveling so they got a different VO and they passed. The VO isn't doing his/her job (I know more about the VO than what I am telling). The letter I sent with the "kitchen sink" had all the information in it that he/she wanted. They simply didn't read it and they are not giving us the "service" we paid them to do. What do I need to do to get them to do their job ?! I know that life isn't fair, but this is just plain stupid. They are costing me extra money and a lot of time, but, more importantly, putting extra stress on 2 people that just want to spend their lives together. This site has been a real help to me, but I feel it can't really help us if the VO won't take a few minutes and just look through the paperwork. It's all there !!! Hire an attorney ? Get help from my Congressman ? .... ?

I am thinking that the VO saw that I am working for my dad (both jobs). He owns a pharmacy and a construction company. So maybe the VO thinks I am lying about it, but my W-2's and tax transcripts match. The VO wants me to explain my income. I think working for my dad has hurt our case, but it's really been the only way for me to get the time off of work to visit my QiQi. I sent letters, pay stubs, W-2's, 1040's, and tax transcripts to them. What more do you think I need to send ?!?!

I was majoring in Bible with a minor in Greek. It wasn't a seminary school, they offered other degrees like; Psychology, Teaching degrees, Business, etc... But they raised their tuition from $16,000 to about $20,000 a year and I just couldn't afford it. I plan to finish with an IT degree from a school that is cheaper. It would be nice to finish the Bible degree though (Lord willing).
