  1. I know what you mean with the application process. My mother-in-law already submit the application to the US consulate. The thing is my wife has her own house hold book separate from her parents, I don't know if her house hold book indicates their relationship or not. What other evidence can she use for "Notary Certificate of Relationship"?
  2. I am going to apply B-2 Visitor Visa for my mother-in-law, is my wife's birth certificate required to verify our relationship? The problem is that my wife couldn't find her birth certificate, and we don't know how long it is going to take to get a new one. We don't want this to hold up her visa process, I am wondering if the VO will deny her visa b/c she doens't have my wife's birth certificate. Any comment is appreciated.
  3. Hi, my wife arrived in U.S. three weeks ago with CR1, but still have not receive anything from the USCIS yet. Does anyone know where I can call to check the status on her conditional green card? Also we are planning a trip to Canada this weekend, I am wondering is the I551 stamp on her passport good enough.

  5. Just called DOS, interview is scheduled, it is on April 15
  6. Does any one know how long does it take GZ to make interview appointment once they receive the hardcopy of CR-1 case?
  7. DOS number is 202-663-1225, I dont really know which day of the week is the best time to call.
  8. Just called DOS, Guangzhou just received the hard copy, and eligible for an interview. Does anyone know how long does it take for Guangzhou to schedule an appointment after they received the CR1 case.
  9. I just moved over the weekend, and I am wondering does change of address for the petitioner delays the processing time in Guangzhou. If not, what should I do to change my address? Call DOS? Fax Guangzhou?
  10. Well lets see ..... "Chinese customs"..... the ever present "backlog"....."special processing" the nice specialist at Dos told me today I should expect mine to opened May or June, she said GUZ is taking 5-6 months now.....believe what you like But seriously it should be any day. Yeah, I heard all of them before, don't know what to believe anymore. I am just cross my finger and hope that they will receive the hard copy soon.
  11. Hi I am new to here. My case is forwarded from NVC to Guangzhou on Nov 15 2007, so far Guangzhou still have not receive the hard copy...SIGH.... What is taking so long?
