Long Time no see.

Hello! Long time no see!!
Happy Thanksgiving!!
I forgot my password. Wasnt sure how to reset it or even if it would work. I sent a message to the adminstrator a few minutes ago. I wonder if even any birds are awake in Yulin at 5 in the morning? So I went to the "register" option. It works!! Now here goes the test to see if I can actually post. Hope to hear from you all. Soon.

Hi, Dan. Glad you could make it.
The old forum was destroyed in late August by a HostGator upgrade of their php software. Dan (dnoblett) tried to upgrade the forum's IPB software to correspond, but found that he couldn't do so and drive a truck at the same time.
So I've created this forum to tide us over for now.
It may still be possible to upgrade the old forum software to restore its functionality. The database is still intact, and I suspect that what is missing is a few layers of upgrading that we declined to perform over the past 5 years or so.
In the meantime, I can access the old database using SQL, although it is a tedious process. I have extracted the old members list (including email addresses), so I hope to send out an email to everyone who visited the old CFL in its last months.

Thanks for keeping this going Randy. Hopefully we'll get the old database restored eventually...

At the same time, fingers crossed the old Candle can also be salvaged, so much valuable information stored in all those posts, many of which I myself have saved for future reference.......
