The reason I ask is we just received P-3 on 2-25-05 and see no reason to continue with the I-130 becouse it is so far behind Link to comment

tywy_99 Posted February 27, 2005 Report Share Posted February 27, 2005 There is no abandonment of the I-130. You will only discontinue the IV process for the K-3 visa. Once your wife is in the states on the K-3 you can apply for (AOS) Adjustment of Status but not before the I-130 has been approved by CIS.There is a CFL member who sent the I-485 AOS in before I-130 approval. His wife is here on the K-3. They both have an appointment with their local CIS office concerning the I-130 this coming Monday Feb. 28.I am looking forward to his account of the situation and I hope things go well for them.You needn't pay the fees to NVC.
