POLICE CERTS

I am probally jumping the gun here as our case has just been forwarded to NVC but if possible we would like to get as much accomplished in advance as possible. I beleive I read somewhere that the police certs for my wife must be dated within the last six months of the GZ interview date. Is this correct? Thanks

We had her police cert. and sent it in we started the I-129f

Yes, That took over a year to get to the interview date. The police cert. is only good for a year, So Guohua had to go and get a new one and she is taking it to GZ with her for the March 9th interview.

She also had to go and get a new Cert. to say she is not remarried.

 

I don't know if this helps you, But I know the real old timers here can answer your questions for you. I'm still Praying and hopeing we are together soon.

Birth and divorce certs do not expire. Police and single certs expire after one year. There have been posts that GZ wants then no older than 6 months but I don't know how true that is. The letter of the law says one year. I would wait until she receives P-3 at least.
