K-1 visa approved!

After only a 5-minute interview at GZ on 1/14/05, my fiancee got her K-1 visa (well technically, not until Tuesday since it is currently a holiday weekend). I did not attend nor did I travel to China for this. I counted on her to make it happen, and she did

 

This news came as such a tremendous satisfaction and relief for us, even though she did not receive her P4 package in the mail 1 month prior to the interview (I mentioned about it in another thread). She had to travel to GZ early this week and handle all P4 matters with an immigration attorney, who is actually a friend of her uncle (so she did not pay much for her services). Now that that's over, it's time to prepare for her arrival, which will be sometime after Chinese New Year (2/9/05). Most importantly, to prepare for our marriage, SSN and AOS application forms, blah blah blah.

 

Anyway just wanted to share the good news, and to those who are awaiting their Jan. or later interview appts, good luck!

Congratulations!!! A K-1 in less than 9 months total That's one of the quickest I've seen for China. Gotta love that VSC And kudos to your sweetie for handling things on her own, even without ever receiving P4?!? Well done, I'm sure you are both very happy
