P-3 Form 230

Hi Everyone, My wife recieved her P-3 last week. but it had only one form 230. Aren't you supposed to have one for her and one for her son? can she make a copy of the she has? Guangzhou has not answered my email.

My fiancee received three copies of DS-230 and we filled out one for her and one for her son. You may have to photo copy the form, or you will have to wait for GZ to send you another copy. Don't forget to make copies of the completed form before you return them to GZ.

I would make a copy of the form and send back two completed DS-230, one for your wife and one for her son.

 

The instructions at the top of this form states that all must fill out a DS-230 regardless of age.

You'll never know unless you try. By all means, make a copy and send it in for the boy along with your wife's copy.

Copies should be OK because computer generated forms (PDF) are OK. If you are copying them overseas, be sure they are 8.5x11? - that size has some "name" - Chinese copies are longer, probably 8.5x12" - a good copy place (particularly one who does US Govt crap) will know this - particularly in GZ (where the cottage-industry is "I help you with Immigration forms"). I had to trim of excess paper off of copied forms. I am not sure it was critical, but Sarah asked, "honey, why is this paper bigger?" Soooo, trimtrimtrim.

Which forms did you have to copy?

 

My wife recieved only one form of each type in her P-3. I had her make copies of all. She used the original and one copy of the DS-230 part one to send in. I guess we will see if it is OK. My reasoning is the same as yours all of these forms are available for downloading in PDF format on the internet and nothing is said about paper quality or color.

I HAD noticed a lot of threads at VJ right now on this. Just peeked in and many report having sucessfully done it, how to do it, then someone pops up and says her copy says not to do so now. IOW: I DON'T know what I thought I did.

FYI.........Just got this from Guangzhou, It confirms it is OK to make copies.
