龟山 Guishan is Turtle Mountain, part of 龟头岭 (Guitouling or Turtle Ridge) Park. The park started as a simple backwoods hiking trail from the road going past the University to the mountaintop. By the time I moved there, it had evolved to a little park, with a road to the base of the mountain, and a paved stairway to the summit. Now it is one of the newest development areas in Yulin.

These are some pictures I took in 2010 and 2011.

I can see that China is still not handicapped friendly. They are working on the toilet issue and they need to start somewhere on the handicapped issue at some point in time. Handicapped folks have money to spend too. Beautiful shots too as usual.

They DO have pathways for the blind (braille - dashed or dotted tiles that the blind can follow along with their canes) literally EVERYWHERE that I've NEVER seen a blind person using. Most are laid out fairly meticulously, but occasionally you seen one where the tiles were just completely garbled, or lead somewhere that you wouldn't want to go.

 

Dwarfs have their own village, but I'm not sure what other "differently enabled" people can do.
