Golden Week at the Consulate

The U.S. Embassy and Consulates General throughout China will be closed from October 2 through October 6 in observance of Chinese National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays. Please also be aware that most Chinese government offices will be closed during this time. The Embassy and Consulates General will also be closed on Monday, October 9 in observance of Columbus Day.

During this period all American Citizen Services Units at the Embassy and Consulates will also be closed and are unable to provide any routine services, including emergency passport services. We will reopen for regular business on Tuesday, October 10.
