We're unsure how, but it's doubtful that it was through Carl's credit cards, or his estate. So it must be through our provider GoDaddy, or an extended payment that Carl may have made previously. They are understandably reluctant to give out information without the permission of the owner (Carl). His estate seems clueless, although I did hear back, "You have our blessing". Our founder Steve first worked with Carl and candleforlove almost 15 years ago on several projects including an early integration of our timeline system with this site. Possible registrants include Domains by Proxy, Hostgator, and GoDaddy. Dan needs to figure this out, since he is the only person with access to CFL's accounts. Any rumors of our demise are greatly exaggerated and premature - it's always interesting to feed someone a story and see what comes out the other end. Domains By Proxy is an obfuscating service which hides the true site owner's personal information.
