I applied for my son's green card in 2013 when my son was a student in America. So he has been waiting. Now he is working for a government company in mid of America and this company can also give him working visa.

My question: which way should he go in the pursuit of his permanent ID? Should he turn to his company and give up the waiting line? We don't want it to be complicated.

Hi, Catherine. As far as I can see, you don't need to do anything.

 

The company will get him a green card - probably before you see any activity on his "child of an lpr" application. There is no reason to abandon that until he has his work green card in hand.
