So we should have everything ready. Thank you It's possible, if you can run the gauntlet of Chinese guards. American citizens are supposed to be allowed in the consulate at any time. Co-mingling with the visa applicants is another issue. Definitely not encouraged. A better plan is to wait outside and hand her your American passport to lay on the counter when she walks up for the interview.
