eseum
Just saw this article. Don't know if it really helps or not. For China it says 90 days in advance yields cheapest flight. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/the-cheapest-day-to-buy-an-international-plane-ticket-mapped-by-destination_us_5914a276e4b066b4217251a4 My most recent purchase of a ticket was about 30 days out and it was $492 round trip to Chongqing from Las Vegas. Wife gets back tomorrow.
thelocaldialect
I purchased tickets just a little less than a month in advance and got Hong Kong to Houston round trip for 3200 rmb. Those were the cheapest tickets I'd seen from China in a long time. That said, the prices dramatically spiked as soon as July hit. Prices with China tickets always depend really highly on the season. High season tickets are going to be expensive, and in the lower season you can almost always find cheap flights if you're reasonably flexible with dates. Kenny2016
Sometime you can get a good deal if you fly on Tuesday or Weds. Also book your flight between 12 -6 AM.
