Schengen Visa for Travel to Europe

Has anyone been able to get a Schengen Visa (we are specifically going to Italy) through a service. I am trying to avoid a trip down to NYC and having to go to the Consulate ourselves.

 

A service anyone can recommend?

Not much here other than having to visit the embassy or consulate of the first country that would be visited.

And from the Italian Consulate NYC

• Do I have to apply in person or can I apply by mail?
  
  Applicants are required to apply in person.

From what I see, it looks like need to visit the consulate.
