ecwai
Does anyone know if the K-1 VISA allows the fiance to take off from Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) instead of an airport in mainland China? I heard that they are allow to do so and stay in Hong Kong for at most 7 days, but have yet to find the source of that information. Or does the fiance need to have a separate valid permit to enter Hong Kong to board a flight at HKG? Thank you Link to comment
dnoblett
Yes, Visitors' visas and visa exemptions 7 days China (when presenting a Chinese passport in transit to third country only; proof of onward journey will need to be presented to the immigration officer)[32] #32Transit 13. Holders of People’s Republic of China (PRC) passports who are in transit through Hong Kong to and from another country or territory may be granted a stay of seven days on each landing without the prior need to obtain an entry permit provided that normal immigration requirements are met, including possession of valid entry facilities for the destination and confirmed onward booking for the overseas journey.http://www.immd.gov.hk/eng/services/visas/overseas-chinese-entry-arrangement.html#ahttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visa_policy_of_Hong_Kong Link to comment

Randy W
The visa simply provides evidence that she will be allowed admission to the U.S. The paperwork, namely her passport with visa and travel tickets, will allow her entry into Hong Kong. The visa with airplane ticket will be sufficient to get her on the plane - they want evidence that she will be allowed entry before they allow her on the plane.
