K-1 fiance can take a long time from POE to card, due to needing to first marry and then filing to adjust status. When adjusting status K-1 cannot work, travel until they receive authorization.

CR-1 has green card status immediately upon entry to the states, the visa acts as a green card until actual card arrives in the mail. The visa has notation it serves as a temp I-551 for up to a year after arrival until card arrives.

VJ timelines can give you very good estimates they have thousands of data points to work with.

wow that long? so the CR1 is quicker then?my wife got her within 45 days i think the uscis told me 90 days a co worker told me he still waiting him and his wife married here in the states in april

Yes, if immigrant has intention to take a job and work shortly after arrival the CR-1 or IR-1 is the way to go, a K-1 is similar to a visit visa and has no evidence of work authorization until after marriage and filing for and getting an EAD, or later the green card.
