sparkynow
We received notices of action that they had received the applications for the AOS, work authorization and travel document on May 19, 2016. We went to the biometrics appointment on June 20th and no problem was indicated. So, I am wondering about other people experience with how long it takes. Link to comment
dnoblett
Averaging 214 days according to VJ statistics. VJ maintains a lot of data to make estimates from. http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aosstats.php?cfl=1 Link to comment
Greg.D.
But check YOUR office at that link. Ours is Denver and it averages 312 days after biometrics. Link to comment
dnoblett
Many times the case is sent to California or Vermont where they approve without an interview. That happened to my wife. Link to comment
sparkynow
Of course, I decide to post the question here and the notice of action for the travel and work show up the next day. So, 200 to 300 days for the AOS. That's fine, but I assume that the travel document will show up much earlier since it isn't required after the AOS. Anyone have a time frame for that? It's the only important thing now since she is missing her family so I want to send her back for a month or so. Link to comment

sparkynow
About 1 or 2 weeks after we received the Notice of Action, the work card showed up. I never cared about the work card since my wife won't be working. I only did it in case. About 2 weeks later, I reread the letter and it said something about a dual purpose card. I missed this before. I looked, and sure enough, at the bottom of the work authorization card, in small letters it says it is also a travel document. Read everything carefully ! Link to comment

Neither is the EAD needed after AOS too. the Green-Card replaces both EAD and Travel document. Link to comment
