Result AP. Requested to Submit Docs and Passport. How Long is the Proc

Hi guys, I had asked a few questions here after my wife's interview on Feb 2016. Thanks for all your supports. We finally gathered the required documents. One pain in the neck was police report from Kenya.

 

Okay, background:

She got the green slip, yes green paper not blue or white or pink, at her interview. The title is Final Processing Letter. It requested to submit required documents and my wife's passport.

 

Question:

Since they requested the docs and her passport together, does it mean the AP process will be done faster? How long will it take normally?

They don't ask for the passport until they're ready to put a visa in it. Congrats!

WOW! Really excited! I really wanna suppress my excitement util we actually have the VISA in hands. Yaaaayy

but the thing is that her medical was already expired. And when I send a message to ask if she should get her medical renewed now, they replied that we should submit the documents and wait for further instruction.

We just waited, and then she received her VISA last week. Good luck to you guys.

Notice that they had to submit a new medical during that time, but, yes that's a VERY long time for the consulate to hold onto the passport.

 

It's unclear from this when the passport was actually submitted.
