MarcRosie
Hi, My wife's mother and father are coming to visit again in December for Christmas. They had 4 year visas but want to get the 10 year visa plus the 4 year is about to expire. Do we need invitation letters and all that we submitted for the prior visa? Or because they had the previous one the 10 year will be approved. Father is 87 and Mother is 78. Thanks! Rosie and Marc Link to comment
dnoblett
They do indicate letter explaining travel and perhaps a tentative itinerary, a visa renewal can be done online and Fee + paperwork sent in via CITIC bank drop box. All Applicants:Passport: Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond their intended period of stay in the United States. The DS-160 application form confirmation page. One Photograph: Two inches square (51mm x 51mm) color passport/digital photograph, less than 6 months old, against a white background, full frontal view. Detailed guidelines for taking and submitting a quality photograph are on the U.S. Department of State website here. Your application will be refused if your photograph does not meet the requirements.Application fee receipt number (or other document which shows that application fee has already been paid).See: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cn/cn-niv-visarenew.asp Step 4 Gather your DS-160 confirmation page, MRV fee receipt, current and previous passports, photo, and a letter explaining your travel purpose and itinerary. http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cn/cn-niv-visarenew.asp#howtoapply Letter probably can be as simple as stating to visit son/daughter, where they live and perhaps what may like to see when visiting.
