Reminds me of parajumper training, hehe. But I would not get on that thing without a parachute, and a damn good one. And I want to know the wind velocity too. And I want a Guard Channel alert in case I go unconscious.

Geez, ain't life risky enough?

The trick is tempered glass, it is quite tough against blunt force, however it will break if hit with something with a very sharp point.

I saw a demo on a show where they had 4 people try to break a tempered glass using a mallet, baseball bat, bowling ball, pick hammer, only the pick hammer could break the glass, the other items bounced off, it's the concentrated point of the hammer that breaks it.

Notice they make people wear booties to prevent scratching the glass which would weaken the glass.

Yes, but I remember the Skyway bridge across the bay in Tampa/St. Pete. People would walk across and get blown off in a strong wind. Even some lighter cars like the old VW's needed a full tank of gas to keep them stabilized. Several were blown completely off.

Something like this is just waiting for something to happen. I mean, what could go wrong? But sure looks nice....

The extended test of the actual panels in place . . .

Owners of the attraction at Zhangjiajie in Hunan province invite visitors to pound it with hammers to prove its strength

The tourists wielding 5.5 kg hammers did succeed in cracking the glass, but a two tonne vehicle then drove over the bridge in safety, according to the article.http://www.scmp.com/sites/default/files/styles/486w/public/images/methode/2016/06/26/8485da84-3b87-11e6-9a6a-3421f730b241_486x.jpg?itok=1EPKDh8v

“Even if the glass cracks, it will not break into pieces. Pedestrians can still walk on it,” Chen Zhidong, an official at the park, was quoted as saying.
