MarcRosie
Hi, Wife thought I should check to see if I need to send in my passport (with 10 year visa stamp) and have it stamped for a trip coming up in July? Is this required or does the 10 year visa allow for entry into China at any time without a stamp for that specific trip? Thanks! Link to comment
dnoblett
It allows entry at any time without any pre-planned trip. Just book your flight and head to China. Link to comment
Randy W
You get the STAMP at the POE to track your entry into the country. Make sure the VISA says "M" for multiple entry (IF # of entries is specified), and you will not need another visa. Link to comment
MarcRosie
Thanks Guys! I have a multiple entry can stay for 120 days each time and the category is a Q2. One question though. Is there someplace that you might know of that specifically states the above? Wife says no way and I have to send it in. She says her Mom and Dad have 4 year visas to come to the USA from China but she says they have to send it in to have it stamped each time they want to come over so that is her reasoning for me to have to have mine stamped. If I can quote something from the gov maybe she'll cool down. THANKS! Link to comment
dnoblett
Never heard needing to revalidate a multi entry B-2 USA visit visa before each trip over. Probably still thinking of the days when a visit visa use to be a one time use visa needing to apply for another visa each time wanting to visit. my mum-in law had a single entry visa 2 years ago before the USA started offering multiple use 10 year B-2 visas, she would have had to apply again by mail (CITIC Bank) to get another visa. Only new thing starting this coming November is those holding 10 year B-2 visas will need to update their biographic info using a website every 2 years or so. https://www.cbp.gov/travel/international-visitors/electronic-visa-update-system-evus/frequently-asked-questions China has not initiated anything like that yet. "Entries" refers to the number of times the bearer is permitted to enter China during the validity of a visa. A visa becomes invalid if there are no entries left, or there are entries left but the visa validity expires. If a visa becomes invalid, its bearer must apply for a new visa before entering China. Traveling with an invalid visa to China will result in refusal of entry. http://newyork.china-consulate.org/eng/lsyw/lszjx/sbqz/lacv/ Nothing on the Chinese Consulate website indicating needing to revalidate a multiple entry visa before each trip. No one has even reported having issues using a multiple use visa to enter China Multiple times. Link to comment
yuehan123
Well, it's not a government web site, just my wife, a US Citizen, using her recently issued 10 year, multiple entry, Chinese visa to enter China several times already in 2014, 2015 and 2016. As stated above, you'll get stamped when you enter and leave China. Good luck telling your wife, "that's nonsense" when she claims you have to send your US passport in to get stamped. By the way, send it to who? And with what documentation? I know, I know you'll get mop slapped. Link to comment
danb
Yuehan , Where did you get your 10 year visa? Did you use a Visa service? Perhaps you can ask them. I have used Oasis Visa out of DC. They have always done a good job for me. Danb Link to comment

The questions were hypothetical, to point out that there would be nowhere to get this supposed stamp, except the one at the POE. Link to comment

My wife has recently got a ten year visa, she used a travel agent in Plano TX while she was there attending a massage school. Oasis indicates $140 for consulate, and $100 for Oasis, same price no matter which version. https://www.oasischinavisa.com/services-and-fees/ Link to comment
danb
Hello guys. Boy, I think I am confused. I mentioned Oasis mostly because they are people who are pretty easy to contact and ask questions to. In the past contacting the Chinese Embassies have been difficult for me by phone. Well, it's not a government web site, just my wife, a US Citizen, using her recently issued 10 year, multiple entry, Chinese visa to enter China several times already in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Wasn't the ten year visa program just started in Sept last year? I just took a look at my passport. Noticed that I only have 2 pages (4 sides) left blank after my 10 year Chinese visa page. Earlier in my passport I also have three blank sheets. Not really that many pages that can be stamped. I tried to make an appointment to get more pages added to my passport last year when I was in Asia but the embassies' appointments were all booked up at that time. danb Link to comment

The only STAMPS are the ones issued at the POE. I just took a look at my passport. Noticed that I only have 2 pages (4 sides) left blank after my 10 year Chinese visa page. Earlier in my passport I also have three blank sheets. For THIS question, you may need a new passport, although 5 pages should be plenty for now. They are no longer adding blank pages to existing passports. http://candleforlove.com/forums/topic/48279-10-year-chinese-visa/?p=625905 Edited June 2, 2016 by Randy W (see edit history) Link to comment
