Mick
I can recall the exact same discussion and subsequent trend in this country back in the late 60s/early70s. I dated more than a few "unshaven" ladies during that era. I could live with arm pit hair, but being a leg man, I didn't much care for ladies that took off their jeans and looked like a chimpanzee. 1 Link to comment

Yes Mick, seems most of the ladies I knew during that time let everything be "natural". One girl I knew had so much hair she looked like she had Buckwheat in a headlock. Over time, things changed to where everything's shaved now. The sadest change was that ladies brought back the bra. 3 Link to comment

Dennis, that line about Buckwheat caused me to spray my coffee all over my computer screen. What a hoot. 1 Link to comment
tsap seui
Thank God most Chinese wimmin, unlike many "Your-ah-peein'" wimmin, don't have much body hair to grow. I jes don't like gettin' lost in the weeds. Ya never know what might be lurkin' in thair. Link to comment
amberjack1234
I gotta say that back in the stone ages I never knew a young gal that didn't shave except that special place. I did have an aunt that didn't shave her legs though. She was the only one and everyone talked about it. Now I know that I shouldn't say this but the wife don't have a hair on her. Except for her head and eyebrows. I have been telling you that she IS NOT Chinese. Link to comment
Allon
I am not actually after the hair. It is a collateral target. Link to comment

tsap seui
Oh well, whatever it takes to be "cool" or hip, jive, funky, far out, groovy, heavy, etc., etc., I am thankful my wife don't march to the beat of anyone else's drummer...I threw away my remainin' drum stick the first time I came home from da Nam. No more joinin' any crowds. Link to comment

Randy W
A similar challenge in the People's Daily - http://en.people.cn/n/2015/0611/c90782-8905568.html http://www.people.com.cn/mediafile/pic/GQ/20150611/98/17656728214394560322.jpg Can you touch your bellybutton around your waist? The selfie generation is not shy about showing off their figures online, and the latest trend on Chinese social media has spawned thousands of photographs doing just that. "Reach your belly button from behind to show you have a good figure" is the latest hashtag to show off your body, and many women and men have posted photos of themselves doing so. Experienced body trainers say the new trend is about flexibility of the arm and the size of the waist, rather than fitness. A lean person with fewer muscles has a better chance of achieving the pose. Thousands of Internet users posted their successful or unsuccessful photos of the challenge. Most of those who made it are obviously thin and long limbed, but there are also exceptions. A man's picture showing him in the pose became a sensation online, as he has a perfectly round beer belly but still succeeded in reaching his bellybutton around his waist.
