CR-1 traditional mail processing

Hi All,
Our case is the traditional mail processing, we are wondering whether we will receive the interview letter via email from NVC or via mail from Guangzhou after they receive our case? Will our attorney be notified the interview appointment via email though?

Typically in this case the consulate in Guangzhou will notify and set the interview date due to having to wait a couple months or so for the actual case file to get from the USA through Chinese customs and to the consulate.

 

If a G-1145 was attached to the I-130 petition providing an email address for contact, the consulate probably will use email to make contact.
