Dear CFL husbands and Chinese sisters,

The New Year is just about to begin!

2015 Chinese New Year Eve is on Feb.18., starting the year of sheep, which represents kindness, wise and compassion. I heard Youtube will be boardcasting CCTV Spring Festival evening show, I'm not going to miss it.

To Chinese, the Lunar New Year is like Christmas to westerners. But picturing Christmas without ornaments and lights; no Santa Clause greeting in the mall, and your families and friends are on the other side of the world... my first Chinese New Year in the US was like this, a dim festival filled with homesickness. That night, this new country seemed overly cold and quiet.

3 years later, I'm writing here on behalf of other newly arrived Chinese women. They didn't have the luck to meet you like I do, they are isolated and helpless, didn't know there is a whole world of support and resource waiting for them!

Thank you for your contribution to the 2nd issue of You May magazine, we are 29% funded!

Please continue helping us reach our goal! For donation please click here.

Xin Nian Kuai Le, Gong Xi Fa Cai!

Talked to parents last night. My dad suggested me not to work on 2/18th, my husband suggested me to watch CCTV real time at 8am this morning, then take nap at 12...

Here's the new trend on celebrating CNY in China:

1. Less firecracker... 1) didn't want to add more pollution 2) getting rich quietly :D

2. Instead of texting new year wishes, everyone is sending wechat greetings

Hi Everyone,

When my parents handed me $600 at the beginning of this fundraiser, I had doubts about this campaign. 47 days later, we achieved $ 6000 from Indigogo, personal check and advertising.

It thank you all for your donation! CFL is a special place for US and China, I felt fortunate to know everyone here.

We have 40% left to achieve our goal

And 13 days.

Please continue to help us reach our goal!

OK, but how can I also buy a copy of the magazine from the first issue? I hope my wife will be here soon. In fact I thought I subscribed long ago. Anyway, would like copies here when she arrives.

Hi Doug, now I know who you are :) Thanks for your generous donation! You are truly a gentleman caring for your wife and helping many other Chinese ladies.

Our magazine meant to be free to Chinese women like wives and finances from CFL, I cover the cost for the production and mailing. In the meantime, I hope to raise money from donors, businesses and foundations so newly arrived Chinese ladies can enjoy the magazine for free.

Once you fill out your subscription information here, I will mail the magazine to your address.
