Is there a document intake day before the interview?

Hi. I'm the petitioner and we (husband and I) have the interview scheduled. I heard some people before talk about a document intake day, the day before the actual interview. Is that so? There was no mention of it when we made the appointment. Thanks

Yes, there is, EXCEPT that it's now on the SAME DAY as the interview.

 

Most important here - be prepared, and FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS YOU ARE GIVEN. You will not be allowed into the consulate the day before your scheduled date.

 

For two or three years. the policy was to instruct you to go to a document intake on a Mon - Thurs afternoon. The interview would then be held the following morning, Tues - Fri.

 

That schedule is no longer followed. As ALWAYS, it's best to show up AT your scheduled time.
